The plan was that after all the Christmas decorations were down, we would place a bunch of these throughout the yard for some fun Winter color..
I guess it had been taking up space in the office somewhere and they had just decided to toss it in the dumpster and clear up some space..It looked like this:.

A nice shape, but really beat up and it was hard to tell if it was real wood or just some kind of press-board with a picture of wood on it.. Well, he brought it home and it was real wood alright.Nothing that heavy could be fake.It lived in our garage until August when I thought I’d be more motivated to fix it up if it was staring me in the face everyday.

So it got moved to the kitchen.I thought I’d get it done once school started up again in September.

Seven months later, it’s finally got a new look..
Of course, it’s still sitting on an old uneven floor.I just couldn’t.
Regardless of the constant overcast skies that are keeping me from taking really great shots of this room, it just feels like right now, at the start of the year, is the right time to show you the extreme before and after that is baby Jack’s new nursery. So just ignore the irony of the fact that these pictures look a little moody even though this is a post that I’m describing as “light and bright” K?
You’re the best.I reserve the right to change things in this room ever-so-slightly and then re-reveal it to you in the future if the mood strikes me too.
